I bought this because my son kept getting pain in his foot and ankle. It was hard to sort out if it was a cramp, a sprain, or growing pains. The pain would keep him up at night and ibuprofen would solve it. I don't like using medicine and so I purchased this to see if it would offer enough comfort to help him sleep and it has done the trick 95% of the time. br /br /It is hard to get it on his foot, even though it is the right size. My son has worn it while he was 6 and 7, his shoe size has been a 11-12 1/2 during that time. I had a hard time figuring out what size ankle support to buy! I put the brace as far onto his foot as I can, then I fold it (like folding down a sock) and am able to get it over his heel. A bit of a struggle but worth the results.
